TWO people have appeared in court after a teenager was murdered in Basingstoke.

Olamide Soyege, 28, of Mayswood Gardens has been charged with the murder of Taylor Williams in Shooters Way on Saturday night.

The 28-year-old man from Dagenham, Essex, was also charged with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery and possession of a knife.

Paige Taylor, of no fixed abode, has been charged with the robbery of Class A drugs and conspiracy to 'rob others from a drug network'.

The 23-year-old woman, who previously lived at an address in Basingstoke, intends to plead not guilty while there was no indication how Mr Soyege will plead.

Both appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on Thursday morning wearing grey tracksuits.

Ms Taylor was accompanied in the dock by a guard, and slumped into her chair after she was read her charges by the legal advisor.

Mr Soyege was accompanied by two guards and spoke only to confirm his name and address.

District Judge Pattinson remanded both into custody until appearing at Winchester Crown Court next week.
