FOUR people remain in custody this morning after murder investigation was launched following two stabbings in Basingstoke, one being fatal.
Three people from Basingstoke, two 29-year-old men and a 36-year-old woman, along with a 16-year-old from Croydon were arrested by officers after a man died after being stabbed in Shooters Way, Oakridge.
Police have this morning (September 2) confirmed that the incident is being treated as murder.
A second incident, which took place nearby Normanton Road at 10.53pm is being linked to the Shooters Way stabbing.
The victim was taken to hospital where his condition was described as serious but stable.
Formal identification of the deceased has not yet taken place, with no-one yet being charged in connection to the incident.
