BUS services in the town are set to change this weekend in a bid to improve punctuality.

Stagecoach, who run services in the Basingstoke area, have made the changes to ensure that they meet the needs of schools and colleges.

The changes are mainly minor, including the 3 to South Ham, the 6 from Popley to Winklebury and the 12 to Beggarwood.

They will come into effect on Sunday, September 1.

Departures on the 13 towards Alton and Basingstoke will be slightly later, and times between Basingstoke and Odiham have been revised.

The 14 will also be extending services that used to start or finish in Bramley to/from Little London, whilst services 15 & 17 will also have their timetables revised.

There will be minor timetable changes on the 76, the LINK, whilst the early running of the 65X, due in Alton at 8.20am, will not run because of low passenger numbers.

Service 22 between Baughurst and Basingstoke will also decrease from hourly to just two round trips per day.
