TICKET machines in pay and display car parks across Basingstoke and Deane are working again after being switched off this afternoon, Wednesday 21 August.
The machines are switched off because of a fault reported by the supplier, and it is believed that this is affecting services from the supplier nationwide.
Interim Regulatory Services Manager Rob Draper said: “The ticket machines in the council-owned surface car parks were switched off and covered temporarily following a fault reported to us by our supplier Cale.
"This fault affected the supplier’s machines across the country and was rectified within eight hours.
"The machines are now working and no penalty charge notices will be issued to those people affected by the temporary loss of service earlier today.”
