TWO drunk drivers have been banned from the roads for more than five years by a court.
Both Robert James Murphy and Andreei Neagu appeared at Poole Magistrates' Court on Friday morning to admit drink driving.
Neagu, of Green Road in Bournemouth, was 3.2 times the limit when he was caught behind the wheel of a Ford C Max in Christchurch Road, Bournemouth on June 27.
Magistrates heard he had 115 micrograms of alcohol in breath. The limit is 35mg.
The defendant, 26, was sentenced to a community order, under which he must carry out 180 hours of unpaid work. He was also ordered to pay a surcharge and costs and banned from the roads for 28 months.
Murphy, 36 and of Hawkwood Road in Boscombe, drove a Vauxhall van in Lorne Park Road, Bournemouth on July 18 with 107 micrograms of alcohol in breath. The reading means he was just over three times the limit.
Magistrates also sentenced the defendant to a community order. However, he must have treatment for an alcohol addiction for six months as part of his sentence.
Murphy was also fined £120 and ordered to pay a surcharge and costs. He was disqualified for three years.
