EMERGENCY services are currently at the scene of an incident in Basingstoke.
Three police cars and a fire investigations unit are dealing with an incident on Porter Road.
Hampshire Police told The Gazette: "We were called at 3.22pm with reports of a fire at an address in Porter Road, Basingstoke.
"The fire has since been extinguished.
"At this time this is being treated as arson and officers are currently in the area making enquiries."Details were initially unclear though a police officer at the scene referred the Gazette reporter to the press office.
An officer at the scene said there was "no immediate danger" to the public and homes were not being evacuated.
Neighbours returning home from work were shocked to find police cars outside their properties.
One said they didn't know what was going on.
