A WARNING has been issued after a group of youths were seen throwing rocks at vehicles on the M3.
Police say the small group were throwing rocks from the side of the motorway, causing damage to vehicles.
Officers say the suspects fled the scene when police arrived.
The incident happened yesterday (August 10) on the M3 between junctions one and two, in Surrey.
In a statement, released on Twitter by Surrey Police's Roads Policing Unit, it said: "We have been dealing with damage to vehicles on the motorway. A small group of youths have been throwing rocks from the side of the motorway damaging windows.
"We can not stress how dangerous this group's actions are.
"If any one has dashcam footage or any information in regards to this incident please contact Surrey Police on 101 incident number P19183019."
