A MAN who made indecent images of children has been handed a community order by magistrates.
Tika Dhan Rai, of Silvester Close, Norn Hill appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on August 5, having pleaded to creating indecent images.
The court heard how between May 21, 2018 and July 4, 2018, the 55-year-old Nepalese man had made a number of pictures of children which were deemed to be category A and B images – the worst kind.
Rai also pleaded guilty to being in possession of two extreme images.
He was given a community order and ordered to pay £85 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
He was also ordered to sign on to the sex offenders register.
