THE Basingstoke Glow Run, a brand new charity event hosted by Naomi House & Jacksplace, has proven popular with the local community as sign ups rocket to more than 160 people in just one month.

On Saturday, 28 September, the Glow Run is set to light up Basingstoke War Memorial Park as participants take on the twilight fun run, which features neon tunnels, disco lights and more. Glow runners will be encouraged to get creative and sport colourful face paints, glow in the dark fancy dress, luminous accessories and glow sticks to dazzle the people of Basingstoke as they take on the 5k route.

Charlotte Patrick, Events Fundraiser at Naomi House & Jacksplace, said: “To see how many people have already signed up to make Basingstoke glow in September is really exciting, especially seeing as we haven’t hosted an event in Basingstoke before! We are always keen to get as many supporters as possible across the seven counties our hospices cover involved in our events, and hope that even more people from Basingstoke will jump at the chance to get involved in this fun and exciting event to raise money for the seriously ill children and young adults in our care.”

Naomi House & Jacksplace offers a huge range of events across varied locations every year. This is the first running event they have hosted in Basingstoke, giving supporters from in and around the North Hampshire area the opportunity to support their local hospices for children and young adults.

The charity is currently offering discounted early bird entry on Glow Run tickets, meaning anyone that signs up before 1 August will save £5 on entry. Prices are £15 for adults and £10 for children.
