MP Maria Miller officially opened two new outdoor facilities at Rucstall Primary School in Black Dam.
Watched by the children, parents, teachers and governors, she cut the ribbon to open an exciting adventure trail facility and the Early Years mud kitchen.
Earlier she met with headteacher Ruth Griffiths, for a catch up on latest developments at the school and future plans.
Maria said: “It was a pleasure join the school in celebrating these wonderful new outdoor facilities, which are a fantastic addition to the school, and a great way of getting children to be more active and get more exercise.
“I was interested to see how the school has invested some of its School Sports Premium in the outdoor adventure trail.
"The premium is funded by Government to significantly increase children’s activity levels as a lasting legacy of hosting the London 2012 Olympic Games.”
