PUPILS from Dove House School Academy looked to the future as they contributed items towards a time capsule.
Organised by Barratt Homes, the time capsule will be buried at the Chapel Gate development just half a mile from the school.
The pupils were asked by the housebuilder to contribute an array of different items, ranging from a copy of the Gazette from the day and recent fashion magazines, to personal items such as favourite toys or family photographs.
The pupils were also asked to write letters to the future, sharing details about their personal lives, as well as what life is like in Basingstoke today.
The burial coincides with the opening of the new White Building at Chapel Gate, 96 new apartments within the old Eli Lilly factory.
Mr T Pegler, headteacher said: “The pupils were really excited to be able to contribute towards the time capsule.”
