A MAN has been given a community order after smashing a pub window and assaulting two people.
Patrick John Reilly, of Solby’s Road, King’s Furlong, appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on July 11 after pleading guilty to causing criminal damage.
The court heard that on May 30, the 55-year-old smashed the window of a Greene King pub in Sherborne St John, causing damage to the value of £280.
He also pleaded guilty to two counts of assault by beating on the same date.
During the incident, Reilly also damaged another person’s watch which was valued at £80.
Magistrates gave Reilly a community order and a restraining order for the incident.
He was also ordered to pay £360 in compensation.
