THE ANVIL was filled with music from across time on Tuesday and Wednesday last week.
Nearly 500 primary school children told the story of Basingstoke from Stone age settlement to present day at the concerts on July 2 and 3, playing to the Anvil crowd.
There was the opportunity to buy programmes, Solving Kids’ Cancer wristbands and donations, all to help a prominent local cause.
The money from the concert raised an impressive more than £2,000 for Oliver Warner, a six-year-old pupil from Bramley Primary School who is currently fighting neuroblastoma.
