BASINGSTOKE Festival will draw to a close this weekend with two days of live music.

As has become the custom for the near month-long event celebrating art across the borough, the B Love festival will bring festival proceedings to a close once again.

Leading the main stage line-up this year is Faithless co-founder Sister Bliss, headlining on Saturday with indie group, Toploader bringing the curtain down on Sunday.

The programme of music for the event, which is supported by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, has been put together by the B LOVE Forum which has scheduled a mix of notable headliners and local talent.

Also performing on the Main Stage are From The Style Council and a DJ set from Utah Saints who have enjoyed strong success over the past 15 years, selling 1.2 million singles and 350,000 albums.

They have also performed with a range of the industry’s biggest bands and artists including U2, Prodigy, Moby and Take That.

Away from music, a host of other attractions will feature at the festival at War Memorial Park.

Younger festival goers will be able to enjoy a range of free family entertainment including performances by Hikapee Circus Theatre, Joe Garbett Dance, Bootworks Theatre and Fit Up Productions with their pop-up circus.

The Magical Forest also returns, in association with Scratchbuilt Productions and sponsored by Kiddi Caru, with face-painting, den-building, arts, crafts, games, live animals and storytelling.

As well as the main stage line-up of acts, music will be spread across four other stages, each showcasing different genres.

Other acts include Holding Absence, Komodo, Mampi Swift and Bfunkt.
