A week of events is set to showcase Basingstoke and Deane’s green spaces.
Love Parks Week, which takes place from July 12 to July 21, will offer people of all ages the chance to play, explore, exercise and relax around the borough with a series of events and activities.
Events will take place in open spaces including War Memorial Park, Eastrop Park, Basing Wood and Black Dam ponds.
The initiative is a Keep Britain Tidy programme, run by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council in partnership with a number of organisations, community groups and volunteers.
Cabinet member for planning, infrastructure and natural environment, Councillor Mark Ruffell said: “We are very proud of the parks and open spaces in our borough as they enhance our wellbeing and quality of life and that’s why we are so supportive of Love Parks Week.
