SHOWADDYWADDY perform at The Haymarket on Saturday, 6 July.

Formed in the 1970s, they have sold more than 20 million records and have toured all around the world.

April this year saw the release of Showaddywaddy Gold on heavyweight gold colour vinyl

and on a three CD set, and marking the 45th anniversary of the release of the band’s debut hit

single Hey Rock And Roll.

The vinyl features 16 of the band's best-known hits, including nine top-10 hits and the million-selling number 1 single Under The Moon Of Love.

Their live show is dynamic and uplifting featuring all of their biggest hits and including Three Steps to Heaven, When, Blue Moon, and Pretty Little Angel Eyes.

And for another great party night, the unstoppable Magic of Motown steams into The Anvil

on Friday, 19 July.

Seen by over one million people all over the world, there are 40 back-to-back Motown hits, glittering costumes, dazzling dance moves and outstanding musicianship in this explosive concert experience.

Celebrate the sound of a generation with the music of Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, The Temptations, The Supremes, The Four Tops, Martha Reeves, Jackson 5, Lionel Richie, Smokey Robinson and many more.

For those that enjoy opera, Senbla by arrangement with Opera International presents two Ellen Kent productions at The Anvil next year - La Bohème on February 9 and Madama Butterfly on February 22.

La Bohème is one of the most romantic operas ever written. It tells the tragic tale of the doomed, consumptive Mimi and her love for a penniless writer.

The set reflects the Bohemian art of the period and will include a brass band, snow effects and Muzetta’s dog will also make an entrance.

This tale of Parisian love and loss features many famous arias including Your Tiny Hand is Frozen, They Call Me Mimi and Muzetta’s Waltz.

Madama Butterfly features exquisite sets including a spectacular Japanese garden and fabulous costumes including antique wedding kimonos from Japan, along with the melodic Humming Chorus, the moving aria One Fine Day and the unforgettable love Duet.

David Baddiel returns to the stage in 2020 following his five star Olivier Award-nominated hit My Family: Not The Sitcom and the return to number 1 of the football anthem Three

Lions.

He appears at The Anvil on February 21 with his new show Trolls Not The Dolls.

David has always seen trolls - the terrible people who spend all day insulting and abusing strangers - as hecklers, and if a comedian gets heckled, it is their duty not to ignore the heckler but to wittily put them down.

Over the years, David has spent a lot of time doing this, which has led him to think that there might be a show in it: a show that would say something about how we live now.
