A WOMAN was rescued from a burning building in Black Dam in the early hours of this morning.
Firefighters were called to a home in Park Gardens at 1.16am this morning (June 20) to reports of a fire.
The fire had spread to endanger three flats and roof space, with a woman rescued from inside the building by firefighters before being treated by South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) for smoke inhalation and then taken to Basingstoke hospital for further assessment. An ambulance and the Hazardous Area Response Team were sent by SCAS.
Two neighbouring properties were also damaged by the fire.
Crews from Basingstoke, Tadley and Rushmoor fire stations attended the blaze, and used six breathing apparatus, two main jets, three hose reels, tactical ventilation, one area ladder platform and one triple extension ladder to rescue the woman and put out the fire.
