RAIN did not dampen the spirits of pupils, staff and parents as they aimed to do something different.
Earlier this month, Whitchurch C of E Primary School hosted a Make A Difference Day - M.A.D.D for short.
Children and staff arrived at school dressed in bizarre outfits and fun was had as youngsters chose teachers to do various mad cap challenges.
The school also completed eight sponsored challenges, which saw them attempt to master a whole host of ‘crazy’ one-minute tasks.
The initiative was in aid of fundraising towards the significant building work that is currently taking place at the school, funded by Hampshire County Council, as the school is working to raise an additional £50,000 needed to complete the internal work required as part of the build.
Headteacher Kate Steven said: “The day has been tremendous fun and the children and staff have had a wonderful time, while making a difference and raising some of the much needed funds to complete the renovation of the school.”
