A LIONEL Messi signed Barcelona shirt, an overnight stay for eight people on a 48ft sunseeker and a two-day private wine tour in Bordeaux are just some of the amazing lots up for grabs in a silent auction being run for charity.
The online auction, run by a company called Superstars, will help pull in the pounds for The Ark Cancer Centre Charity on Ark Day next week, with people able to make bids online right up until noon on June 21 – the day of the 24-hour fundraising drive for the local charity, which is raising £5million to build a new cancer centre at Basingstoke hospital.
Superstars, which has worked with other local events including a ball at Basingstoke Rugby Club, runs the auction offering unique opportunities to purchase prizes that are not commonly available on the open market, including pieces of art, signed memorabilia, experiences and holidays.
Anything which is bid above the supply price of each item on the auction will go straight to The Ark Cancer Centre Charity, hopefully helping the charity to boost the funds it raises on Ark Day.
