TWO schools teamed up to take part in a national event that highlights the importance of storytelling.
As a part of the Book Trust’s Pyjamarama event on Friday last week, Year 8 pupils from Aldworth School took a trip over to Park View Primary School, in Pinkerton Road, to take part in the fun.
Aldworth students helped the Park View Primary pupils with small storytelling workshops, bringing their favourite bedtime stories to show off to the pupils, all while both staff and youngsters were dressed in their favourite pyjamas.
The event, organised by the Book Trust, promotes reading for pleasure and the positive effect that it can have on development in children. The trust provides books, resources and support to help children. Events took place in schools and workplaces across the country.
