YOUNG cricketers were bowled over yesterday (Wednesday) when an England legend came to visit.

Former England cricketer and current pundit Michael Vaughan came to visit a school half-term cricket camp at Daneshill School, Stratfield Turgis, for a masterclass, and question and answer session.

The academy run by the Lion Sports Academy, partnered with Coco Fuzion 100, gave youngsters the chance to hone their skills as well meet the Ashes-winning former England captain.

Andy Jones, founder of the Lion Sports Academy, said: “It’s brilliant to have Michael around, having him come down will be something for them to remember.”

The ex-cricketer said: “As a former player, I feel that it’s my duty to try and sell the game.

“Cricket is a great way to learn discipline in life.”
