A TREE was damaged catching on fire in the early hours of Tuesday morning in
Firefighters were called to a field at The Hurst Community College, in Brimpton Road at 6.48am.
The tree, located at the far end of the sports field, was damaged and the trunk was smouldering.
One crew from Tadley Fire Station attended the incident, and used one hose and jet to extinguish the fire.
The fire crew left the scene at 7.15am.
The police have been informed about the incident, a Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said.
