FOR the third year in a row, vintage vehicles and modern sports cars could been seen driving around the North Hampshire countryside for charity.

The annual Hampshire Medical Fund classic car rally took place on Sunday and saw petrol heads turn out to show off or admire some of the pristine vehicles.

With more than 40 vehicles taking part in this year’s rally, onlookers saw a range of cars driving to various locations as part of the event.

Drivers met at Chilton Lodge, Hungerford before departing to take part in stage one of the event and meeting at Abbotstone Farm House for lunch.

Drivers then continued on to phase two before finishing up at Ashe Park, Overton for refreshments following the rally.

Some of the cars on display throughout the rally included Ferraris, Porsches and Bentleys.

There was even a converted Volkswagen Beetle, which could be transformed into a mobile refreshment stop for those taking part.

There were collection buckets at each stage and at the finish line, with all the money raised from the event going to the charity.

The charity is still calculating the total amount raised from the event, with all the money going to help provide support and equipment for Basingstoke hospital.
