A WEALTH of creative talent was on display at the annual gala performance and awards ceremony for the Basingstoke Music and Arts Festival.
Opened by the Basingstoke Area Youth String Orchestra the event was held at Queen Mary’s College on April 28.
People of all ages can enter competitively or non-competitively, from beginners to expert levels, in a range of different art forms, including written, theatrical and musical.
Awards were handed out by Brighton Hill South ward councillor Andrew McCormick.
There were performances from the likes of Ann Stonehouse, one of the winners in the adult writing section, and Philippe Cheong who played a complex piano piece.
The afternoon concluded with the mixed choir of Amery Hill School.
