A NEWLY-formed Men’s Shed has helped give a community project a fresh look.
Stratton Park Men’s Shed members have constructed planters to enhance the refurbished patio of Café Dome, in Brighton Hill Parade.
Former mayor of Basingstoke and Deane, and Stratton Park Men’s Shed member, Councillor Seán Keating, presented the planters to the café along with Kempshott ward councillor Anne Court.
Café Dome is a community project that provides work experience and training in hospitality and catering for young adults with learning disabilities, as well as being a café for Brighton Hill and the surrounding area.
The Stratton Park Men’s Shed also recently made a planter in the shape of a train for Westside Community Centre to celebrate its 50th anniversary.
