A MAN was forced to fend off two attackers in an attempted robbery in Lychpit during the early hours of this morning (Friday).
The victim, in his 30s, was approached from behind by two men while walking along Lambs Row at around 1am this morning.
He was told to hand over his belongings before being assaulted by both men.
The victim was able to defend himself, resulting in the two men running off empty-handed.
Both attackers were described as white men in their 20s.
One was between 5ft 8ins and 5ft 9ins tall, with short hair and wearing a dark coat.
The other was around 6ft to 6ft 1ins tall, wearing a white hooded top with a stripy pattern.
Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or saw two men matching the descriptions acting suspiciously in the area around this time.
