THE Anvil has recently announced shows featuring some great names are now on sale.

Singer, songwriter, and actress Lulu makes a welcome return to the venue on Thursday, 19 September with her show On Fire. Her powerhouse performances have ensured a loyal following of fans and this, her new show, will be packed full of hits as she takes us on a personal journey through her music.

Supported by a four-piece band and LED screen with carefully selected family and career defining moments, Lulu will have you sitting, standing, dancing, singing, laughing and simply listening to an amazing story that started on November 3, 1948. If you haven’t seen Lulu live, then don’t miss this special opportunity as she recounts her remarkable life now at 70-years-old and a career that has outshone many of her contemporaries.

Daniel O’Donnell brings his Gold Hits Tour to The Anvil on Wednesday, 9 October. The much-loved singer is the only artist in the world to score a hit in the UK album charts every year since 1988, an unprecedented and unbroken 30-year span, and in doing so he has surpassed everyone from Michael Jackson and Madonna to U2 and The Rolling Stones.

After more than 30 years in the spotlight as an engaging entertainer, he is still in love with performing and with audiences the world over.

Alexander Armstrong will be baring all on Friday, 22 November in his revealing new one man show, All Mouth and Some Trousers. Known from Armstrong & Miller to Pointless, from Hey Duggee to Classic FM, find out what lurks behind the mere noise.

Expect candid stories, laughter, music and some relief that ‘baring all’ is just a figurative expression. There will be songs, there will be stories, and there will be trousers!

Status Quo lead singer Francis Rossi will share the extraordinary secrets of his 50-plus years in rock ’n’ roll when he takes to the stage for an intimate evening of chat and music at The Anvil next year, on March 12.

In I Talk Too Much, he’ll chat about his mishaps and adventures of life on the road with one of the biggest and most loved bands ever.

A true member of British rock royalty, Rossi sang the first words at Live Aid in 1985, survived the obligatory rock ’n’ roll brush with alcohol and drugs, was awarded an OBE in 2010 and has a BRIT for his Outstanding Contribution to Music. His band has sold more than 120 million records globally. Rossi will also be joined on stage by award-winning writer and broadcaster Mick Wall for an evening of laughter, revelations, tales involving some of the giants of music, exclusive video clips, and snatches of hit tunes.
