A CHILD in Odiham has been rescued by firefighters- with the help of a friendly neighbour.
Yesterday morning, firefighters were called to reports of a two-year-old child accidentally being locked in a car in King Street at 9.29am.
One crew from Odiham Fire Station attended the incident, where they used soft entry tools and coat hanger loaned by a neighbour to gain access to the vehicle.
The child was freed safe and well from the car and was then allowed to sit in the fire engine.
The crew left the scene at 10.08am.
Shout #57 mobilised to a child locked in a car at 09:20, the 2 year old boy was released safe & happy from the car using the good old wire coat hanger technique which was acquired from a helpful neighbour (thank you) followed by a sit in the fire engine. #SmilesAllRound #WWMD pic.twitter.com/Pk0uZrbJQ1
