AN AMBULANCE was involved in a collision with a car earlier this morning.
At around 9.35am, an ambulance responding to an emergency call collided with a car at the junction of Priestley Road and the A340 Aldermaston Road.
The ambulance did not have a patient on board at the time.
South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) subsequently sent a rapid response vehicle and another ambulance to the scene of the collision scene.
A SCAS spokesperson said: "Fortunately the ambulance crew and the car driver only sustained minor injuries; the crew have been taken to [Basingstoke and] North Hampshire Hospital for further assessment and the car driver has been treated and discharged at the scene."
