BELGIAN detective extraordinaire, Artemis Arinae, is enjoying a cruise along the Nile when tragedy strikes.

Crimes on the Nile tells the story of Arinae’s investigation into a murder on the cruise, but as he gets deeper into the case, the body count seems to rise.

Produced by New Old Friends, the show is performed by a cast of just four people who perform as multiple outrageous characters, inventive set pieces and whisk the plot along in a romp in this Agatha Christie-inspired comedy thriller.

New Old Friends was founded in 2008 after Feargus Woods Dunlop and Heather Westwell graduated from Bretton Hall.

Join the cruise full of life lascivious lawyers, crocked captains, fastidious physicians, ardently amorous authors, feuding femme fatales, plodding paramours, colossal kids, friendly first mates and attractive Americans, at the Haymarket on May 2 until May 4.

Tickets cost £23, or £21 for a matinee showing, or £12 for under 25s and full time students £12. For more information and tickets go to anvilarts.org.uk/nile.
