THERE was an unusual pair of shoppers in Basingstoke town centre on Saturday.
A couple of Stormtroopers from the Star Wars movie franchise were on patrol in Festival Place, to the surprise of visitors.
But it was all in the name of a good cause as the pair, from UK Garrison 501st Legion: Vader’s Fist, were helping to fundraise for the shopping centre’s charity of the year, St Michael’s Hospice.
The pair stopped to pose with shoppers as well as encouraging them to donate to the Aldermaston Road-based facility.
