A GROUP whose donations helped some of Basingstoke and Deane’s most vulnerable over the Christmas period have been praised for its efforts.
The Basingstoke Morning Townswomen’s Guild were presented with a certificate of appreciation from the Basingstoke Foodbank for the donations they supplied.
During the Christmas period the group donated 11Kgs of assorted food, the equivalent of 25 meals, towards assisting the 4,000 adults and children across the Basingstoke & Deane area who are supported by the Foodbank.
Following the presentation at the Townswomen’s Guild’s April meeting, the working of the Foodbank will be the subject of their next monthly meeting at Sarum Hall, Trinity Methodist Church, Sarum Hill on Tuesday, 14 May.
The meeting commences at 10am with visitors are more than welcome.
