FANS of Downton Abbey are being invited to see the award-winning show in a new light.

Set to the backdrop on Highclere Castle, the Chamber Orchestra of London will, with the television show’s composer, John Lunn on piano, produce an open-air concert bringing the show to life.

The concert is an official celebration of the series and its music. It promises to be a once in a lifetime opportunity for fans old and new to experience at Highclere Castle, the home of Downton Abbey.

The event will be hosted by actor Jim Carter, in character as Mr Carson looking back over his time at Downton Abbey and remembering the many characters that filled the home over the years.

To bring Mr Carson’s stories and the clips vividly to life, the orchestra will play songs from the show’s soundtrack.

Downton Abbey in Concert will come to life at Highclere Castle on June 22.

The Gazette has teamed up with Live Nation to give away a pair of tickets to the event.

To be in with a chance to win, just answer this simple question:

What is the name of the character played by Jim Carter?

Is it A) Mr Larson B) Mr Parson or C) Mr Carson.

Send your answers to tim.birkbeck@basingstokegazette.co.uk by midnight on Monday, 29 April.
