More than 70 pieces of graffiti were removed from across Hart and Rushmoor recently following Graffiti Focus Week.

Specialist contractor Graffiti Removal South carried out five days of graffiti removal at numerous sites across the two areas on behalf of the Safer North Hampshire community safety team, which holds a graffiti removal week annually.

Using specialist chemicals and a high-pressure washer, graffiti tags and other writing and pictures were removed from both public and private property in response to requests from residents.

Caroline Ryan, Community Safety Manager of the Safer North Hampshire Partnership, said: “Graffiti is not a huge problem in most areas of Hart and Rushmoor, although it can be unsightly for residents where it is found."

Graffiti can be reported by visiting fixmystreet.com or by calling 01252 774476.

Caroline added: "Members of the public told us which areas had been blighted by graffiti and we are grateful for their help.

"We remove graffiti as quickly as possible, which can make a real difference to the appearance of an area –thank you to everyone for reporting graffiti to us.”
