BASINGSTOKE’S MP has met with the boss of a company set to move to the town.
As previously reported in the Gazette, Sovereign Housing Association is to move its head office to the Florence Building, in Basing View with the new-build office to be the base for its 450 employees.
Maria Miller has met with Sovereign’s new chief executive officer (CEO) Mark Washer and discussed the move and housing needs in Basingstoke.
The MP said: “It was great to hear the news of the move first hand from Sovereign’s new CEO Mark Washer.
“We discussed the advantages of Basingstoke’s accessibility and the quality of office accommodation offered. Basingstoke offers companies excellent opportunities and it is wonderful to welcome Sovereign to Basing View.”
