THE awesome foursome youngsters who will lead a carnival parade have been chosen.
The Old Basing Carnival Selection Disco was held last month with 54 children from the village coming along in their best party attire.
Meanwhile, carnival judges watched on to pick out a prince, princess, escort and attendant for the annual event.
This year's princess is Amelia May, 10, from Old Basing, with her attendant being Emmy King, five, from Lychpit.
Meanwhile, the prince will be Owen Eastwood, nine, from Old Basing, and his escort will be Scott Connor, seven, from Lychpit.
The 2018 royal party crowned their successors at the event.
The carnival this year will be held on Saturday, 15 June and the theme is comic characters.
