A BASINGSTOKE community centre has celebrated half a century since opening its doors.
On Wednesday, 3 April, the Westside Community Centre, in South Ham, celebrated 50 years of providing the area with a community space.
The mayor of Basingstoke and Deane and South Ham ward councillor Sean Keating was in attendance at the event, along with school pupils, parents and members of various clubs and groups that use the centre.
During the event, a video showcasing the changes over the past 50 years in South Ham was played.
Members of the emergency services were also in attendance to celebrate the landmark.
