A SIMPLE golf putt could win someone a year’s free membership at a club in a contest backed by a champion.
Sherfield Oaks Golf Club, in Sherfield-on-Loddon, will be hosting a charity day where anyone will be given one shot to have the chance to win the membership.
The event, held on Saturday, will be attended by Women’s British Open champion Georgia Hall and will be raising money for Breast Cancer UK – Georgia’s chosen charity.
People wishing to have a go at winning the prize will have a single attempt to hole a putt of 40 feet in length.
The one chance, one shot challenge is open to everyone, regardless of age or golfing ability.
The challenge will be held between noon and 4pm.
