STAFF from an Oakley convenience store raised more than £1,300 to provide the community with Easter treats.

The team from the One Stop store, in Oakley Lane, has been raising money, including one staff member completing a five-mile three-legged walk around the village, to donate hundreds of Easter eggs to a number of good causes.

As a result of the fundraising, the team was able to donate 208 eggs to Dove House School – enough for one for every pupil.

A further 40 Easter gifts were delivered to the Firvale respite centre for children in need and more than 200 large eggs and 50 teddy bears will go to Basingstoke hospital children's ward and 50 teddy bear for the neo-natal ward.

The One Stop team was also generously donated 60 gluten and dairy free eggs by Moo Free to distribute.
