THE roof of a home was damaged by a fire last night.
Firefighters from the Basingstoke station were called out to Oakridge Road at around 6.30pm to reports of a fire at a terraced house.
Three crews were dispatched to the scene where they found the fire was in the roof of the property.
Firefighters used two breathing apparatus and a hose reel to fight the fire, which the fire service believes was caused by an electrical fault.
The incident was dealt with by around 7.10pm.
