A WOMAN has died after emergency services, including the air ambulance, were called to a Winklebury home.
Police, South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) and the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance were called to Restormel Close yesterday afternoon to reports of a woman aged in her 40s being taken extremely unwell at a home.
The woman was taken to hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after her arrival.
Police said officers were called to the scene just before 2pm though SCAS was called at 1.05pm, with eyewitnesses adding the air ambulance landed in a field by the side of the Roman Road/Kenilworth Road junction at around 1.30pm.
A Hampshire Constabulary spokesperson said: "The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner."
