A DEMAND has been put to Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council to tackle a perceived lack of parking shortages in residential areas.
Andy Konieczko presented a petition at the full council meeting asking for an ongoing initiative about the problem to be re-appraised.
Mr Konieczko said: “The lack of parking spaces is a major issue in Brighton Hill, as well as other parts of town.
“It’s a complaint we hear frequently when we’re knocking on doors.
“We’ve given residents a voice and they’ve demanded that the council carries out a review to assess the chronic shortage of parking.”
After hearing Mr Konieczko's points, the full council meeting heard the petition will now go to the relevant borough council cabinet member to review any actions to take.
