A KEMPSHOTT primary school was celebrating after helping a prominent charity in its goal.
Park View Primary School, in Pinkerton Road, took part in Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance’s (HIOWAA) 10p challenge, in which organisations tried to raise money through collecting 10p coins for the charity.
The school held several biscuit sales and created money boxes in class to raise cash and through this, with a few extra copper pieces thrown in, the school raised £360.36.
The mascot of the campaign, Teddy Medic, took a trip to the school on Tuesday to say thanks for the fundraising.
Pearl class managed to raise the most of any individual class, with £31.20.
The money raised in the challenge is going towards gaining £20,000 to fund new flight suits for the HIOWAA critical care paramedics.
