THE cast of this year’s Gazette-sponsored Christmas pantomime at the Anvil has yet to revealed … oh yes it has!

Jump aboard the magic carpet as Aladdin will be this year’s festive season show starring CBBC favourite Mark Rhodes.

The actor is best known for starring alongside his TV partner Sam Nixon in the BAFTA award-winning show Sam & Mark’s Big Friday Wind-Up and the recent Match of the Day: Can You Kick It.

Mark is no stranger to the Anvil having previously appeared in 2015’s pantomime at the venue which was Jack and the Beanstalk.

Joining Mark in this year’s show will be Mark Moraghan, who will step into the role of the evil Abanazar and returning for another year is Chris Pizzey who will play Wishee Washee.

Mark Moraghan is known for his roles on an array of British television staples.

He was Owen Davis in Holby City and has appeared in Emmerdale as Tim Richards, as well as Coronation Street, Brookside, Heartbeat, and Dream Team.

When Chris made his Anvil debut in Jack and the Beanstalk in 2015, it was alongside Mark Rhodes.

Audiences can expect magnificent scenery, beautiful costumes, lamp-fulls of laughter and an Aladdin’s cave of stupendous surprises at this year’s performance with this traditional pantomime being a genie-us way for the whole family to come together.

Aladdin runs at the Anvil from December 12 until January 5, 2020, so don’t miss a whole new world of adventure.

There will also be a relaxed performance on January 2 for those on the autistic spectrum and for anyone who would prefer a performance with a quieter and more gentle tone.

Ticket prices start at £20 with discounts for under 16s and over 65s, and also for groups and schools. Contact the box office on 01256 844244 or go to anvilarts.org.uk.
