MEMBERS of the public are being encouraged to visit the Willis Museum to see an exciting art exhibition hosted by Basingstoke College of Technology (BCoT) students, before it ends on Saturday, 6 April.

The exhibition, which is free to visit, opened earlier this month in the Sainsbury Gallery within the museum and showcases a diverse range of artwork by students currently studying for a Foundation Diploma in art and design.

The pre-degree Foundation Diploma is a one-year course for anyone who has completed a Level 3 qualification in art and design, such as an Extended Diploma or A-Level in art, and is looking to progress to university.

BCoT principal Anthony Bravo said: “I am really pleased that the people of Basingstoke have this exciting opportunity to see some of our students’ fantastic work. The standard and variety of work produced by our Foundation Diploma students is always incredibly high and that is why so many of our students progress to some of the best universities and art schools in the country.”

This is the second time BCoT’s art and design students have exhibited their work at the Willis Museum, after co-hosting an exhibition with Winchester School of Art and artist James Aldridge in February last year.

Located at the Top of the Town, the Willis Museum is open from 10am to 5pm from Tuesday to Saturday.
