A NEW business based in Basingstoke is poised to bring someone else’s home cooking to into the homes of others.

In the style of other, similar food delivery companies, Hungrily will provide you with food at your door- but the difference is that someone has made it for you at their home.

People in the area with keen cooking skills sign on to be cooks in the scheme, making their own dishes and flavours on a menu that they prepare themselves, before it is then delivered to the customer’s door.

Every person who signs up to be a cook for the scheme must pass hygiene tests and further qualifications from Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council.

Co-director of the company Ashley Beatens said: “We are looking for passionate cooks in the area to join us.

“While this isn’t for everybody, getting food made by chain restaurants time and again can get boring, so we wanted to make a change.

“There are many different types of food that we can offer that people can make that aren’t available in many chain restaurants, like Caribbean food or African food, for example, with recipes that have been passed down through their families.

“We will hopefully introduce people to new tastes that they won’t have tried before,”
