A ROAD connecting Chineham to the A33 is to be closed overnight for two weeks.
As part of ongoing works on the A33 at its junction with Thornhill Way and Lillymill Chine, resurfacing work is taking place for two weeks from tonight (March 18).
Work will be carried out between 8pm and 5am, but will be suspended for weekends.
The section of Thornhill Way between the A33 and Reading Road will be closed for the full duration of the works, with a diversion via Binfields Roundabout signposted.
Access and egress from Lilymill Chine will be maintained and controlled by traffic signals.
The overall works at the junction involve widening Thornhill Way to provide an additional right-turn lane, junction resurfacing and the renewal of the traffic signals.
All work is due to be completed by May.
