THE A303 has now completely opened after an overturned lorry closed the majority of the road for much of the day.
The road was closed entirely eastbound after the overturned lorry strewed gravel across the carriageway with a lane closure westbound causing traffic to back up to the M3.
Both the westbound and eastbound carriageways have now fully reopened with traffic returning to normal.
The eastbound carriageway had been shut at the junction of the A303 with the A34 with M3-bound traffic diverted to Junction 9.
The AA reported the overturned lorry had spilled 28 tonnes of grave.
