THE deadline is looming to give everyday heroes in Basingstoke the recognition they deserve.
Nominations close for the 16th A Place to be Proud of Awards on Friday, 22 March.
The awards celebrate unsung heroes and nominations are invited for individuals, organisations and projects that have made a special contribution to the community.
There are a range of categories:
- Arts & Entertainment Award – Basingstoke Leisure Park
- Young Role Model Award – Queen Mary’s College and Breeze
- Unsung Hero Award – Festival Place
- Health & Care Award – BMI The Hampshire Clinic
- Community Project Award – Face TV
- Inspiring Teacher Award – Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council
- Business and the Community – Basingstoke Together
- Volunteer of the Year Award – Gazette Newspapers
- Green Community Award
- Above and Beyond Award

Finalists will be invited to the awards ceremony to be held at The Haymarket Theatre on June 6.
