AN INSPIRATIONAL Basingstoke business woman visited the House of Lords as part of a special event to celebrate female entrepreneurs to mark International Women’s Day.

Vicky Glanville was chosen by f:Entrepreneur to attend the inaugural event which brought together the top 100 female entrepreneurs for their first meeting.

The campaign highlights inspiring female business leaders across the UK through events, content and story-telling, showcasing role models to help inspire all small businesses.

The women were chosen following a campaign launched by f:entrepreneur called #ialso which was set up on International Women’s Day 2018, to celebrate the increasing number of successful women who have moved from the single job to working on many projects, and feel passionate about them all.

Vicky, a mother-of-two from Lychpit, runs Marketing Harmony, a marketing consultancy business based in Basingstoke, along with her team of associates.

She delivers on-demand strategic marketing, branding, social media and business coaching services to SMEs.

Vicky is also a qualified yoga teaching and has been running classes in the town for three years. She became a parent governor and now sits on three boards at her daughter’s junior school.

She said: “What I love about the #ialso campaign is that it recognises the many roles women entrepreneurs play. For example, I’m a marketing consultant, a business coach, a yoga teacher and a school governor and this campaign celebrates this.

“I was humbled to be included in the list.”
